Amgen awards insurance reimbursements to help patients afford their treatments. The Reimbursement Connection, an online resource, was launched to provide patients with guidelines and assistance for filing their insurance claims and taking all necessary steps to alleviate financial hardship.

Challenge:
Developed as an extension of Amgen's call center, the Reimbursement Connection was created to reduce call center cost and offer a new channel of support to make interacting with Amgen easier. When UX joined the project, the vital resource needed to be designed to accommodate all current and future pharmaceuticals.

Solution:
UX designed scalable navigation and content groupings to allow enough room for ample descriptions of each type of pharmaceutical and to support patients at different stages of use. Provision of downloadable forms and assistance filling out forms become an excellent way to prevent insurance lapses and bridge communication between patients, doctors, and Amgen.
